Eventika

Eventika is an online calendar and events discovery service in Denmark. The service allows users to search for and track upcoming entertainment events in the chosen area (such as concerts, festivals, and film presentations) involving specific performers, indicate and share their intent to attend certain events.

The client is an event-based portal in Denmark that needed to perform website redesign, integrate content management system with the current platform, and migrate all currently available events into new CMS. CMS should be used further for the management of all available events, so it should support the ability to add, edit and remove or temporarily hide the content of the website and also should provide the best possible SEO.

We needed to redesign the website and integrate CMS. We chose the AngularJS framework as the most powerful and popular framework on the market at the time of development. The client already was using .NET Framework for their back-end solution and hired us to migrate the platform to a popular .NET-based CMS - Umbraco. The back-end logic of the application was moved into Umbraco, and data was migrated into the Umbraco database based on SQL Server.

Redesign and refactoring of the app and migration of the front-end code to a SPA approach helped provide a flawless user experience. Integration with popular CMS helped the client maintain and manage available content and constantly add new content to the website effortlessly.
